Professional Biography
Patrick Skilliter works as the senior managing attorney and director of litigation for LASCO. “Poverty is systemic. Wealth and income are not determined solely by desire, drive, and willingness to work. I often represent hard working people who are still living paycheck-to-paycheck. A single, unexpected expense is devastating. On top of that, there are businesses - used car dealers, predatory lenders, scammers, and unscrupulous home improvement contractors - who exploit poor people. Being a part of the Economic Justice Team means that I can work with my clients to seek financial stability and fight back against consumer protection violations,” he says about his work.
