Ben serves as LASCO's advocacy director for Columbus. He attended Notre Dame Law School where he was the co-recipient of the Dean Konop Legal Aid Award in 1999-2000. Ben began his legal career as a staff attorney at the Chillicothe office of LASCO (then SEOLS) in 2000. He transferred to the Newark office in 2002, and then served as the managing attorney of the Lancaster office for eight years before joining LASCO. Prior to attending law school, Ben worked in Hiroshima, Japan, as an English instructor, and then as a translator and assistant project manager for Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. Since joining LASCO, Ben has put a focus on working with Code Enforcement and the City Attorneys on improving housing conditions for Columbus’ 200,000 tenants.
